Miniature Roses!  Valentines Day is right around the corner, and if you plan on buying cut roses for your sweet-tart, I have a suggestion.  Add a potted miniature rose as well!  They’re available in a multitude of wonderful colors, add indoor flowers after Valentines Day (and cut roses are finished), and can be planted outdoors this spring, in the ground or in containers, for all summer color!  Miniature roses are very hardy outdoors - winter mulch and they come back year after year.  Combine these great attributes plus roses being named the ‘2012  Herb of the year’, and you can’t go wrong giving miniature roses as a gift this Valentines Day (or anytime!).  “Clark, that’s a gift that keeps on giving.”  [Indoors – sunny location / even moisture / feed once a month / remove spent flowers to encourage new / rinse off plant in sink every 2 weeks to remove possible indoor insects.  Outdoors – same requirements as regular roses.]
